CENTURY CHAMPIONS LEAGUE RELAUNCHES WITH NATIONAL EXPANSION

Century Champions League

The Century Champions League (CCL) will relaunch for the 2026/27 season with expanded

Junior and Senior competitions across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. With the

potential for Hobart to return for juniors this year as well as Perth hot on the trail.


The competition’s first major event under the new structure will be Century Mackay, held at

Harrup Park from Thursday 30 July to Sunday 2 August 2026.


Century Mackay will feature six franchises: Rays, Chargers, Rockets, Pirates, Comets, Auckland


With the new Seniors divisions including, the existing elite competitions - Next X1,

Elite Men's, plus the newly formed Legends and Masters.


CCL will also relaunch its popular Brisbane Next X1 this year to much anticipation, featuring the Comets, Dingoes, Magic, Marlins, Rockets and Wolves franchises.


The competition will return to the foundational location of Norths DCC, paying homage to

where the formative seasons were played in Brisbane.


Player nominations for this competition are opening soon, with the Brisbane Seniors Draft

scheduled for June 13.


CCL Co-owner Adam Crosthwaite said the relaunch marked a significant step forward for the

competition nationally.


“We’re building more than just a cricket tournament — we’re creating opportunities for

players across multiple levels and cities,” Crosthwaite said.


“The expansion into both Junior and Senior competitions gives players a genuine platform to

compete, develop and be part of something exciting.”


CCL also acknowledged the support of Mackay Regional Council and Harrup Park in

delivering Century Mackay.


Further announcements regarding fixtures, player signings and junior competitions will be

released in coming weeks.
